My Team

I am so fortunate to have a wonderful team behind me. Please take a moment to get to know them!

Current Mount

Apollo is Tanya’s current equine partner who came into the partnership with an extensive and very successful show record from Training Level through to Prix St. George (PSG). He, and his previous partner, competed at the PSG level in 2019. Together they had scores in the 60’s, and were champions at 2 gold level shows. These championship scores earned Apollo 2 points towards his Sports Elite Predicate with FHANA.  As a 4th Level horse, in 2018, he earned either Champion or Reserve Champion at the 4 shows he competed in.  Apollo was also awarded the 2018 Equestrian Canada’s “4th Level Horse of the Year” and the CADORA 4th Level Champion.  In 2016-2017, as a 3rd level horse, he was Champion at all competitions and Reserve Champion in the CADORA awards program.   2015 was a very successful year for Apollo as he took home numerous 2nd Level Championships, including the Freestyle Championship, and was awarded the very prestigious FHANA “Dressage Performance Award” and the CADORA 2nd Level award.  Equestrian Canada awarded him the 2015 “Silver Horse and Rider” award and the “Lauren Dilanni Freestyle” award.

Together, Tanya and Apollo have been hard at work adding to Apollo’s already impressive resume. Their partnership over the last 2 years has earned them a spot on the Equestrian Canada Para Dressage National Team Program Talent ID Squad as of December 1, 2021. They have also earned themselves 2020 High point Championship (Class 7) for the Equestrian Canada Video Competition Series 2020 and Saskatchewan Provincial Para Dressage Champion in 2020 and 2021.  This team competed throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan in the 2021 season and currently planning to head to Florida, Ontario and North Carolina to compete in the international dressage ring this winter and spring as they work to achieve their ultimate goal of qualify for the 2024 Paralympics in Paris France.
